Suggest Treatment For Hemifacial Spasm

default
Posted on Mon, 25 Jul 2016
Question: over the past couple of weeks, I have had muscle spasms around my left eye - going in a half circle from the edge of my brow to under my eye. It is not twitching - more of a hard spasm that last for many seconds and is quite uncomfortable. Any ideas?

Brief Answer:
Possibility of hemifacial spasm

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
You may be suffering from hemifacial spasm which involves periocular muscles and may involve face region too.
If the problem is bilateral, a possibility of blepharospasm should be considered.
You should visit a neurologist for detailed examination and investigation.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
