Question: I have a hematoma on my right arm near the elbow, the swelling has gone down but it feels warm in that spot,
it is turning a nice shade of yellow and pink

Should I be worried?

Thanks for posting your query on HCM.
I appreciate your concern for the discoloration of the skin over the hematoma.

In absence of pain, swelling or pressures symptoms or as long as you do not take any blood thinner there is nothing to worry about it, these are the normal changes that occur during resolution of hematoma.

As the hematoma resovles the color changes from that of a purplish-blue bruise to yellows and yellowish pink as the blood chemicals gradually are metabolized and the breakdown of the red cells resulting in yellowish pigmentation.

Since the swelling has already subsided, the discoloration will remain there for some time, it is not a matter of concern. You may apply ice or cold pack for the warmth sensation.
