Ambrodi-s is used for cough, not for cold and as you said child has cold also you need to give him anticold syrup as well.
You can try sinarest-af syrup for cold taste and result both are great.
Nasoclear nasal drops are useful to clear the noseblock.
You can also give nebulisation with asthalin and normal saline to ease breathing so that child can sleep properly.
If there is fever paracetamol can be given.

2. Before or after food.
3. How many drop per time.
4. Do I need to stop the old medicine and use the new one so that it will be strong and cure very quickly.

3. Dose depends on weight but for 2.5 yrs old child dose should be 5ml of syrup ( not drops) sinarest-af 3 times a day.

There is no such concept as strong medicine, the illness will take it's own time depending own various factors like type of infection, immunity of child etc.
