Detailed Answer:
Hello there, Welcome to HealthcareMagic,
I've gone through your query and understand your concerns,

Well, as per your description it does seem like an allergic response, let me know a few details at first so that I can guide you specifically...

Since how long is this happening?

Any other symptoms like any sneezing/cough/cold/runny nose/headache/fever?

Any difficulty in swallowing food/drink?

Any chest pain/ chest tightness along with the breathing difficulty?

Is there any past medical/surgical history? Any past history of childhood asthma?

Please note that Bronchodilators like Asthalin should always be taken under proper medical supervision, as there may be several other reasons for such breathlessness...

In general, if the breathlessness is not severe, and since you've mentioned it's only periodic, there's no need to get admitted... However, a thorough clinical check-up along with investigations (CBC, Electrolytes, LFT, KFT, ESR, Chest X-ray, 12-lead ECG and/ Pulmonary Function test as a part of basic work-ups) are definitely warranted to find out the exact diagnosis...

For this, you can visit any nearby Pulmonologist/Chest medicine specialist (all of these can be done on the out-patient i.e. OPD basis only) and proceed accordingly...

Not to worry, as with prompt and timely diagnosis, recovery is quite quick... I've tried to make it as simple as possible for you to understand, please let me know if there are any further concerns...

Take Care
Kind Regards

Since how long is this happening? Response : It's been since 9 years now I have been facing this trouble off and on.

Any other symptoms like any sneezing/cough/cold/runny nose/headache/fever? Response : I do have a polyp growth in my nose and was asked to go for a surgery.

Any difficulty in swallowing food/drink? Response : Nope

Any chest pain/ chest tightness along with the breathing difficulty? Response : The entire chest pains when there is a breathing issue. The stomach gets tight and this usually happens when there is a weather change or the climate is too humid.

Is there any past medical/surgical history? Any past history of childhood asthma? Response : Nope

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back,
Thanks for following up,

From your description, it seems like a hypersensitivity reaction of the respiratory tract.. However, in order to get the exact diagnosis, the thorough workup is required (as mentioned earlier)...The nasal polyp may/may not be related to this...

So please go for it (visit the Pulmonologist/Chest medicine specialist) to initiate investigations and treatment accordingly for this under supervision...

Let me know how you stay in the due course...

Take Care
Kind Regards
