Brief Answer:
Explained

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Allopurinol or febuxostat should be used. The dosing needs to be increased in moderate to severe hyperuricemia.

Allopurinol up to 600 mg and febuxostat up to 80 mg can be given as per the severity. Be careful not to use these drugs during an acute flare of gouty arthritis as it can worsen the flare.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
