Suggest Treatment For Furuncle On Leg Along With Severe Swelling

Question: My mother in law is having a typical type of problem, no name have been provided by doctor to this disease. Her legs first get rashes and then get swollen around 12 months back then few Furuncle arise on the same and after few days some pus come out of it and a deep wound arised that was not healing for many days then she admitted to the hospital and the same got cured but swelling continued till now. Now again around 20 days back a liquid is coming out of the legs wherever a minute cut happens at any part of the legs. Now again wounds have arise that are again not healing. The skin color have gone black in these 18 months and rashes seems like nerves have come on the upper layer of the skin. Now the main concern is, her swelling is not healing from last one & half year and her wounds are not healing if happened any. Also BP got high rached to 170/100, hemoglobin is 6.4 and pain in chest.Kindly suggest

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history, very self explanatory.
One and half years of suffering.
Black skin.
Edema Nevers subsided. Wounds not healing.
Now hypertension.
Severe anemia and so on.

I would like to know if any other investigations have been done, if yes, please post all reports.
I would advise her the following:
Correction of anemia.
Correction of serum proteins or any other deficiency.

Investigations are important.
Thyroid functions, liver and kidney functions.
Ultrasonography and color doppler of whole lower limbs, inguinal region .
Gram staining, culture and sensitivity of the pus/fluid.

I shall be to assist more if you please give me the old and new reports.
Till then, continue medicines.
Elevation of the lower limbs above the heart level in lying down position is very important.

Thanks for the reports.
Nothing very specific positive findings.
Venous color doppler is normal.
It is possible that she has developed this problem due to lymphatic blockage.

Are the toes of the feet are equally edematous ? Or look normal?
Please continue rest of the treatment as advised and also seek opinion of a General Surgeon. And let me know the follow up.

Not loaded, I think you have to remove (delete) the ones you had posted and then post only the fresh ones.

Please tell me whether the toes are free and not swollen or swollen.

Please post a clear photograph of the diseased part as visual impression can help a lot.
