Brief Answer:
Ileo-caecal region and appendix o IBS

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for a classical history.

Loose motions after meals and not responding to the antibiotic and sporlac.

The most probable causes of this problem are :
A problem in the region of lat part of small intestine ( terminal ileum) , beginning of large intestine ( colon) and appendix. This can be easily diagnosed by Clinical examination, ultrasonography and if needed a CT scan.

IBS- Irritable bowel syndrome, rare chance as your problem is only for 10 days. If this is recurrent, think about this.

Get diagnosed and the treatment will be easy once a proper diagnosis is made.
Continue sporlac. Visit a Surgical Gastroenterologist. He may prescribe you another antibiotic and Metronidazole and advise tests of blood, urine and stool according to the clinical impression on actual examination of the abdomen by palpation.

I hope this helps you for a proper direction.
Please ask for more if you need to.

Answered by Dr. T Chandrakant (10 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Electral solution.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Normaxin is for spasm and and is a good medicine.
Zanocin is ofloxacin, which you are already taking.
Continue OCID and Benflora.

Since the stools are solid, motions reduced to 4-5 per day, you may please continue the treatment.

Yet I feel a minimum of ultrasonography and / CT scan be done to ''rule-out'' probable problems. Please request your Doctor to go for investigations of blood including Widal for Typhoid, blood sugar, serum electrolytes ; urine and stool tests and may be to add on other antibiotic like Cefixime or so.

Take ORS -ELECTRAL powder one packet in a liter of boiled and cooled water to tackle the weakness.

Brief Answer:
USG- ASAP , give details of tests

Detailed Answer:
Have you got Widal test for typhoid done?
What is the recent FreeT3 FreeT4 nad TSH reports? What medicines are you taking? Yes low or high thyroid affects all the tissues and intestines in particular. Requirements do change in disease. Do you have Hypothyroidism or Hyperthyroidism? Please give all the details.
Go for Ultrasonography ASAP. Why wait m, it is already so many days you are suffering.
Weakness can be due to the intestinal problems or due to thyroid problems or the root cause which is giving the present symptoms, antibiotics, workload in such a disease, anxiety and so on.
You can add multivitamins with Ginseng. I think you need a bed-rest as exertion is adding onto the problems.

Answered by Dr. T Chandrakant (10 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Not much to worry about,.

Detailed Answer:
14.2 liver is not a problem if the liver function tests are normal.
You can certainly consult a Physician ( MD) or Gastroenterologist.
No ad effects of mild hepatomegaly, in fact this could have been die to intestinal infection you were suffering from.

How are you now, at the present ?

I always feel vomiting sensation after anything i eat.
And instead of 4 days IV treatment.
Motions are not totally controlled.
Its still 3-4 motion a day.
I am taking ondem and oflox right now.
Still feeling very weak.
Can exersion add problem to it.
As i have to start going office.
What should i do now. ???
doctor
Answered by Dr. T Chandrakant (4 hours later)
Brief Answer:
As Advised.

Detailed Answer:
Request for Domperidine, ondem is not mu ch helpful for vomiting sensation due to gastroenteritis.

You may need to change antibiotic if the motions are not controlled. How many days of Oflox till now?
Add Probiotics and multivitamins, pancreatic enzymes, activated charcoal tablets, Ranitidine, antacid gel.
If you still have weakness, take rest, working in such situations / exertion does increase the problems.

Widal for Typhoid not yet done?
