Question: I am 63, female, was in good health, developed a fever for 10 days, between 99.6 and 102, no other symptoms. on 7th day got a rash on both sides of torso, some itch. head, nose and lungs clear. Doctor lab test negative for parvo virus B19. Is there an anti-virus that I can take. Is there some other virus similar to these symptoms, I need relief to to rid of fever and being tired all day.

Brief Answer:
Requires further investigation

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for the query.
If you have been having fever, it is less likely to be a viral infection and antivirals are not to be taken without a confirmation of viral infection.
The rash can be due to a bacterial infection or vasculitis of any nature. It would be better to do further tests to exclude a bacterial infection which may require antibiotic treatment.
Best wishes,

my doctor said it is not bacteria, based on blood test, and looking at white blood cells/count. it is not lyme, not parvovirus. While it seems like parvovirus, do you have another idea what it is, or what tests could be done. What I really want, is to get rid of fever, and tired all the time.

Detailed Answer:
I would be interested in seeing your blood results if you can upload them.
Your doctor would have probably said that he did not suspect a bacterial infection because the WBC count was not elevated. But the WBC count can be normal in several bacterial infection like Salmonella infection which can give rise to prolonged fever and rash. It would be good to have a blood culture, serological tests, CRP, Chest Xray and urine examination to start with.
Hope you would get well soon,
