Suggest Treatment For Fatty Liver In A Person With High BP

default
Posted on Wed, 4 Nov 2015
Question: I was told yesterday after an ultra sound that I may have something called hectic decease of the liver or fatty deposits in my liver. What is the treatment if any and or outcome of this complication? This was at an urgent care unit who has instructed me to see my Dr. as soon as possible. I am a non drinker but have been taking pain pills for years due to back issues. I also take medication for high blood pressure. Basically I want to know if this is a fatal decease?

Brief Answer:
It is not a fatal disease

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!

I read carefully all your concerns and I can say as follows :

1.You are reporting to have fatty liver on abdminal ultrasound.
Fatty liver is not a dangerous disease. It is the deposition of fatty tissues on the liver.
There si nothing to be worried still now.

2.If you were my patient I would recommend to do
-blood work
_ liver pannel
- lipidogram cholesterol , triglycerides

3.Meantime I would recommend to change your lifestyle like:
- use vegetables and fruits
- avoid fatty and fried foods
- avoid sweety foods
- increase physical activity
- try to loose weight
- start hypolipemiant drugs if you lipidic profile is increased.
- repeat abdominal ultrasound after 6 months.

Hope it was helpfull to you.
