Question: I woke up early this a.m. with my left eye hurting. It is difficult to try to open my eye lid but it does not appear to be red--it just hurts. I am just getting over m seasonal cough--all of this is the left eye and nose stopping uIp--it is all on the left side. I have some Lotemax--would this be okay to use?

Brief Answer:
Lotemax should be avoided.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for writing to us on Health care Magic.

I reviewed your history and based on your history the response to your question is as follows.
This looks like eye infection probably secondary to cough and cold.
Lotemax is a steroid and it is better to avoid this eye drop.
I prefer to use antibiotic eye drops like Moxifloxacin eye drop one drop three to four times a day.
Use of pain killers/ analgesic tablet will provide symptomatic relief.

Hope this is helpful to you.

Thank you
