Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

The night thirst and breathlessness can be related to diabetes and respiratory tract infection. The diabetes was , according to you worked up and blood sugar was found to be normal. The amoxicillin was prescribed for the respiratory tract infection. In addition, renal function should be determined to be fine. Creatinine , Urea, LFTs, Electrolytes ( Sodium and potassium ) should also be done. Fasting blood sugar should be rechecked twice over two weeks apart. HBA1C levels can be repeated after 3 months. Medications that give a dry mouth like antihistamines or certain muscle relaxants should also be looked for in the history and be avoided. Pulmonary function tests can be advised to look for evidence of asthma. A baseline EKG would be indicated if no pulmonary cause for the breathlessness is suspected.
