1. I do not have diabetes or inflammed nerves. I have prostate enlargement for which I take one capsule of Dynapress 0.4mg daily.

2. I do not have any problem of trauma to lower spine or weakness in the legs etc.

3. I take antidepressant for more than 5/6 years now. But, I did not take continuously and stopped in between whenever I was okay. The name of the antidepressant is Primipex 0.5mg.

Now that you have all the information, you may suggest a suitable medication for the problem. In fact, Vigora 100mg worked so well only once and thereafter it did not help for erection.

Brief Answer:
Primipex could be responsible for the problem.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back to HCM.
Thanks for your valuable information.

Primipex (Pramipexole) is mainly used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease but not used for the treatment of depression.

One of the most important side effects of Primipex is impotence, loss of interest in sex, or trouble having an orgasm.

You are therefore advised to consult your neurologist for this problem, may be an alternate but safer medication may be prescribed for you in the treatment of Parkinson's disease.

Hope this answers your query.

Best regards.

Brief Answer:
Hypogonadism should be ruled out.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir, Hi
Good morning!

Testosterone is a sex hormone that is secreted by the testicles, and it plays a key role in both libido and in the ability to have frequent erections.

As the age advances the low levels of testosterone (hypogonadism) can diminish a man’s desire for sex, contribute to feeling sluggish and tired and cause erectile dysfunction which may not respond to drugs like Tadalafil.

Low testosterone levels may be caused by another health condition that makes it difficult for a man to get or maintain an erection, such as depression, diabetes, elevated cholesterol and high blood pressure.

In view of the above explanations, I would advise you to consult your urologist for proper workup like estimation of Testosterone level if found to be low, then you may have to take low dose testosterone along with Tadalafil for the effective treatment of Erectile dysfunction.

Hope the suggestion given above could be beneficial in getting the treatment.

Wishing you a very good health.
