Suggest Treatment For Enlarged Colon And Pain In The Pelvic Area

default
Posted on Tue, 10 Jan 2017
Question: Hello and thanks for being there. I have pain that seems to be in my pelvic and groin area. I've had an x-ray and it shows only that I have an enlarged colon on my right side. I've had back surgery and in the process had the nerves on that side damaged from bladder, bowel to my feet and toes. I don't walk well because of this, and this extra pain now makes it even worse. Sure would appreciate your advice. XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Yous should see a surgeon and have colonoscopy done.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Thank you for the query.

Such pain can be caused by inguinal hernia, bladder inflammation. Distended colon can be also the reason of such pain. Especially that your pain sensation is dofferent due to spine issue.
It would be good to have groin examination by a surgeon, groin ultrasound, urine analysis.
Colonoscopy is also a good idea to diagnose the large intestine issues.
If nothing will be found in this tests, spine MRI should be considered to see possible changes in this area.

Hope this helps.
Regards.
