Brief Answer:
You should consult immediately the ER doctor.

Detailed Answer:

Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your complains, I would recommend you to visit the ER as soon as possible (just as your primary care doctor said you).

Facing your dull chest pain irradiating to the back, with a worsening nature, as well as your positive family history for heart disease, it is very important to rule out the 3 major causes of acute chest syndromes: acute coronary syndrome, acute aortic syndrome, and pulmonary embolism.

You need a careful physical examination, a resting ECG, cardiac enzymes (CK-MB, Troponin I), a chest X ray firm, and if necessary a cardiac ultrasound, as well as additional medical tests.

Your vital parameters are normal for the moment (heart rate, BP), but you need to assure you haven't any of the above mentioned diagnosis. as they are life-threatening and need urgent medical care and intervention.

So, my only advice it to run to the nearest ER service without delay.

Hope to have been helpful!

Feel free to ask me whenever you need. Greetings! Dr. Iliri
