Suggest Treatment For Difficulty In Conceiving

Question: hi i am 32yrs old female,90kg weight. My query is that i have moderate endometriosis and ovarian bilateral cyst from last 9 yrs. and i also went for a laproscopic surgery in 2011 which was successful. since then i am trying to conceive and i was pregnant for 2 weeks in 2014. then i had a miscarriage and since then not able to conceive. my husband is thinking of going for IVF in near future. I want to what is the possibility in my case.

Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully gone through your query, and I think I have understood your concern. I will try to address your medical concerns and would suggest you the best of the available treatment options.

1)please do not panic.

2) I would like to know if your BMI - body mass index . It can be derived from your height in centimeter.
BMI = Wt in kg/ Height in meter square.
If it is more for your height - more than 23, I will suggest you to opt for a healthy diet and regular exercise regime.

3)After going through your attached reports, it is advisable to get a review laparoscopy done.
Ovarian serous cysts and endometriotic chocolate cysts need to be completely tackled.
It will be even more needed if you are planning for IVF in future. This helps IVF doctor while collecting eggs from ovaries.

4)In women with endometriosis, if good quality eggs are retrieved then IVF can give good results.

5) Danazole helps to treat endometriosis. Ovral G helps to regularise your cycles. It has very negligible effect in treating endometriosis.

thanks for your answer. My BMI is 30 and my height is 5 feet 5 inches. it would be better if you can tell me that which one will be successful with my condition. Should i go for IUI or IVF? As i have already gone through laproscopic surgery in 2011,and when i met a gynecologist in 2014 she was not sure to go for another surgery at that moment.But she also said there is no other option available to treat recent cyst. My question is that is there any advance medicine treatment available according to you which can help to get IVF closely done? Is there any possibility if I plan to go on Leuprolide, can it be beneficial?

1 ) Thanks for appreciating the answer and reverting back.

2 ) Thanks for the information about height and weight . As such , it's a gentle suggestion that from health point of view, healthy range of BMI which is between 20 to 23 , should be aimed at to prevent various health problems.

3 ) As regards to your question about choice between IVF and iui , I'm view of history of endometriosis; I will suggest to go ahead with IVF.

4 ) Luprolide depo as you have mentioned is one of the drug of choice by IVF experts , that helps in the treatment of endometriosis as well as IVF.
