Suggest Treatment For Chronic Dry Cough

Question: hi doctor,
my wife has dry cough since 6 months and it's not getting better ,She is taking motek LC from last 8 days but no effect.
her chest x ray was normal
what should be next steps

Bronchitis is likely.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
Since she is having cough of 6 month duration with normal X-ray , there are two possibilities:
1. Chronic Bronchitis
2. Gastro Esophageal reflux disease (GERD) causing cough.
My opinion in such case would be to take a combination of Pantoprazole and Levosulpride daily along with a Bronchodilator inhaler consisting of Formeterol and Budenoside.
Montair LC should be continued along.

These medicines would show response with in 7-10 days.
