Suggest Treatment For Chronic Dry Cough
Brief Answer:
Bronchitis is likely.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
Since she is having cough of 6 month duration with normal X-ray , there are two possibilities:
1. Chronic Bronchitis
2. Gastro Esophageal reflux disease (GERD) causing cough.
My opinion in such case would be to take a combination of Pantoprazole and Levosulpride daily along with a Bronchodilator inhaler consisting of Formeterol and Budenoside.
Montair LC should be continued along.
These medicines would show response with in 7-10 days.
Please share my opinion with your doctor.
If you have any further query, please ask me.
