Question: i had leumonia but all clear but i still have chonic coughing and cannot sleep laying down because i cant beathe and yes i am a smoker

Your symptoms are most probably caused by smoking, you should stop smoking and could use e.g. Codeine 3x30 mg/ day to ease your cough.

Position related cough needs a cardiac (heart) function evaluation too, especially in your case with past cardiac problems.
