Suggest Treatment For Chest Pain

default
Posted on Mon, 3 Aug 2015
Question: I have chest pain almost daily. Its more like it is sore, I have had multiple stress tests over the past 4 to 5 years that all check normal. I am a pretty active person and bicycle 75 to 100 miles per week. Usuall with a group, pretty hard, usually in the 85 to 100% maximum heart rate range. Does not seem to affect. I do take nexium for acid reflux. And at times I can move a certain way and make the pain happen. Its not terrible but does cause some anxiety sometimes, because Im just not sure what to do. The pain is random, sometimes may be worse if I bend over as Im getting back up. I feel fine, just worries me.

Brief Answer:
Possibly Gerd induced

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am Dr Mittal. I have read your message. I think I can help you. The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of a possible cardiac lesion. I think I would suggest that you get a coronary angiography done. It's a gold standard test for these purposes.

I also feel that this chest pain may be gastritis and GERD induced. You may have to take Tab Neksium 40 mg twice a day, prior to food.
An endoscopy to rule out severe ulceration is also indicated. Syr Sucralfate 2tsf 4 times a day will also help.

I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information contained in this message will be able to help you find the best solution for your problem. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
