Suggest Treatment For Bump And Bruise On Foot After Injury

Question: Heavy box fell on the top right side of my foot! it has a bump and bruise and hurts when the ice isn't on it. what should I do?,X-ray tomorrow...? wrap??,Ice all night...It just happened an hour ago! Thanks!!Didnt know a real Dr was on line! Dojo you need insurence to answer me? many thanks!

Here is what you should do for the foot

1.Continue to apply cold packs. It should be applied for about 10-15 minutes every hour
2. Tab Acetaminophen ( Paracetamol) three times a day will bring down pain
3. Apply Diclofenac gel over the area, it gives immediate relief
4. No need to apply ice all night
5. Avoid lifting heavy weights and also do not exert pressure over the foot when walking.
6. If the pain is unbearable and the swelling increases then please approach the Emergency room now itself
Please get an x ray of the foot tomorrow to rule out fractures
