Suggest Treatment For Bronchitis While On Spiriva

Question: I have copd bronchitis, have had trouble swallowing just found out my exophegus is 50% smaller thur swallowing test drugs I take adviar disk Spiriva,avodart, levothyroxine. Which of these drugs could cause this .

It appears that a segment of your esophagus has become narrow. This is known as esophageal stricture. There are a host of causes for this, most commonly Gastro esophageal reflux. Here the acid of stomach goes back to the esophagus and causes inflammation and in the long run, stricture.

The drugs that you have listed are not known to cause esophageal stricture.

Please discuss with your gastroenterologist to find out the exact cause so that treatment can be initiated.
