Question: I have broken blood vessels on the inside of my right ankle I am 62 female I stand ALOT in my job also I experience a swelling behind my knee an sometimes pain in my leg when standing or in my hip when walking

thanks for your question. you are describing a number of issues.

if you could include a picture of the broken veins on your ankle then I may be able to
give you a more accurate diagnosis however, they could be fragile surface veins simply related to your age or varicose veins because of 'venous insufficiency'.

one of the most common causes of swelling behind the knee is a bakers cyst which can be related to arthritis in the knee joint. any swelling should be assessed by a physician to be sure that a more sinister problem underlies it.

pain in your hip region could be from a number of areas including your spine, hip and abdomen. a better description of your pain may help me with the most likely cause.
