Suggest Treatment For Boils And Bumps In An Obese Person
Question: hi, I am morbidly obese and I have lymphedema as well. I have boils, bumps or whatever they are on my inner leg, inner thigh area where the lymphedema is the most present along with my abdomen (i have alot of lymphedema on my abdomen but not quite as many bumps)
the bumps do not itch, burn or bothersome in anyway. what it is called, is it dangerous and how I can get rid of them. thank you.

Lymphedema occurs as a result of blockade to the flow of lymph or due to production of excess lymph by blockage of the veins.
The bumps may result from small collection of lymph underneath the skin. These are minute lymphoceles. These may get infected in which case should be treated.
If you are able to lose weight and treat any other cause of lymphedema, if treatable, these bumps ought to decrease.
There is no danger if you avoid infection and rupture of these bumps.

what happens and what does it look like when the minute lymphoceles become I infected? what is done for the treatment of minute lymphoceles...what are treatment options?

In such a situation, antibiotics would be required.
Losing weight would help in some. Diuretics and restriction of salt and fluid intake also would help.
If the blebs rupture, you should apply an antibiotic cream and may also require oral antibiotic.
