Dear Doctor, I have no pain, not sexually active, noticed the blood 2 weeks ago, no chronic problem I know of.
As you have read I am showing some kidney problems and seeing my kidney doctor on Dec 30th. He has taken me off all medications,Allopurinol,Lisinopril, fenofibrate for 4 weeks and I had a Ultra Sound on my kidneys.
I have read that this blood sometimes shows up and goes away----hoping this might be my case----but none the less concerned. I wrote to the doctor and never received a reply for my questions, is there a problem?

Brief Answer:
Yes, may go away by itself. You have no risks of being something serious

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Thank you for the follow up question and the information provided.

It clears a lot now that you have done some tests, are not sexually active and have removed the possibility of the blood being from the medicines.

The changes in color (blood like in your case) may be also from the foods. So noticing if it is related with any particular food you are eating those days may help find the cause.

Sometimes blood in semen may come from kidney stones but you have ruled it out.

So basically I would say you have no risks of this being anything serious. Just see the situation and follow up with me or your doctor if needed. Yes it will probably go away by itself.

Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you need more clarifications.

Regards,
Dr.Papaqako
