Brief Answer:
Your clinical history is suggestive of chronic allergic sinusitis with PND

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX ,
Thanks for the query.

I have read your query and understand your concern.

Your clinical history is suggestive of chronic allergic sinusitis with post nasal discharge ( PND ) . PND causes cough & difficulty in swallowing .

If I were your treating doctor , I would advice
Saline nasal rinse or spray thrice daily like solspre ,
Salt water gargle twice daily ,
anti inflammatory Ibuprofen twice daily ,
Antibiotic azithromycin once daily for 7 days &
Combination Steroid nasal spray with antihistamine 2 puff each nostril twice daily like Duonase nasal spray .

Gargle with water 20 mins after nasal spray use to remove any spray coming to throat .

You will get relief .

You will need to see your doctor to get a prescription.

Hope it is helpful to you . If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

Regards.

Brief Answer:
You need to continue anti-allergy medication .

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the follow up query.

There is no harm in repeating anti-allergy medications (Saline nasal rinse,Salt water gargle & Steroid nasal spray ) but if you repeatedly use antibiotic then bacteria will get resistance to it .
Best way to prevent repeated infection from bacteria is to continue anti allergy medication .

You need to continue ,
Saline nasal rinse or spray thrice daily like solspre ,
Salt water gargle twice daily &
Steroid nasal spray till the allergy subsides ( which may require years) to prevent repeated episodes .

After stopping anti-allergy medication it will reoccur within few days . Allergy can be controlled but difficult to completely cure .

Regards.
