Brief Answer:
Take symptomatic treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

I have read your query and will be answered by me.

From the facts you have shared here,it is likely evident that you have acute sinusitis and majority of cases of sinusitis are due to viral infection or may be allergic. Symptomatic treatment will be helpful.

If I would have your treating doctor,I would advise you to take symptomatic medications,

1) Take antihistamines like levocetrizine 10 or benadryl twice daily if you have runny nose.

2) Nebulization with steam inhalation 2 to 3 times daily will also be helpful for symptomatic relief from the nasal or sinus blockade.

3) Decongestants like phyenylephrine will be helpful to relieve from congestive symptoms in nose or throat. You can see your PCP for written prescription if decongestants are not available over the counter.

4) Take multivitamins like vitamin B complex daily once.

5) Avoid cold water and other cold products for 2 to 3 days.

We would expect that you will start improving within 2 or 3 days with above symptomatic treatment.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
