Suggest Treatment For Black Colored Bruise On Chin Area

Question: my 15 month old son fell down on his chin and there is some discoloration due to blood clot. he stopped crying after 5 mins and did not have any pain now. This has happened yesterday. but the black mark is still there and I have attached picture. is there something that I should do get that mark cleared or would it go away by time. please let me know if there is any cream to heal it.

I have seen the attached image. When blood extravasates, it remains collected locally and is gradually degraded eventually leading to the colour changes. It would take 7-10 days to go away. Please be patient. No medicines are required. It will go away on its own. No creams or ointments are required. If you still want, you can apply Neosporin ointment.

If the child is active and fine, you need not worry. But if the child develops vomiting, altered consciousness, convulsions etc. it would call for an urgent visit to the emergency of a hospital.
