Suggest Treatment For Bipolar Disorder
medications, community, therapy, volunteer activity
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
First of all it is very important for you to stay on your medications. Bipolar disorder is a serious illness and only gets worse if you try to come off medications.
There are many things that can help with you feelings of anxiety, and abandonment. I will mention a few and give you some general suggestions of supplements that may help you recover your health, but it is important for you to work with a counselor regularly to learn new ways to cope and thrive in the world. Doing some exercise daily is very important. it does not need to be anything fancy, it can just be walking, but it needs to be daily.
Drinking 6-8 glasses of water is also important. It sounds trivial but if you are dehydrated then you body feels sluggish and can't clear out stress chemicals that can build up in your body.
Try not to nap during the day and try to go to bed and get up at the same time every day.
If you can find some sort of volunteer activity that you could do for a few hours a week it may be helpful. Giving to others takes the focus off ourselves and helps build up self confidence.
Cutting back on sweets and carbohydrates in your diet is also important. Carbs (bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, fruit) eaten in excess can also make you tired and sluggish.
Supplements that may help you recover are: multivitmain/multimineral once a day, vitamin C 1000-2000 mg daily, fish oil 1000-3000 mg daily and vitamin E and D if they are not in your multivitamin.
Good luck to you. I wish you the best.
