Brief Answer:
Examination and Prophylactic Treatment

Detailed Answer:
Dear

Thanks for contacting with your health concern.

1. Was any Pediatric consultation/Examination/Investigation done?
2. Any running epidemic in locality?
3. It is normal for babies to get restless during fever, since fever:
i. is the defence mechanism of body to fight against infections,
ii. increase body's immunity
iii. prevent multiplication of bacteria and viruses...and thus fever is frequently associated with childhood illness.

PS. but make sure to verify with your attending Doctor, also as she is taking medicine for dentition sometimes dentition problems also lead to fever.

4. Any associated symptoms like congestion, sore throat, neck pain, quiet and withdrawn, seizures seen [if examination done]

5. As you are giving her paracetamol [depending upon weight] it is worth mentioning that you should treat the cause and not the symptoms and for that meticulous examination is necessary.

PS. Consult your family doctor for appropriate dosage at her age, since:

i. improper dose can be one reason of fever coming back
ii. increased dose and frequency could be dangerous to child's immature liver and kidney.

6. Most fever encountered in general practice are viral, self limiting and require only symptomatic treatment, but as compulsory routine
. consult a Pediatrician who will look for pallor, jaundice, neck stiffness, abdomen for liver & spleen and auscultate the chest to find the cause of the fever by evaluating the associated symptoms.

MANAGEMENT
. bed rest with blankets
. semi solid or liquid diet. [soft rice with milk, boiled vegetables, coconut water or electral water]
. avoid exposure to wind, avoid bath-only sponging
. avoid oily-fried foods, cold drinks, cold water, ice creams.
. give bread butter, toast-jam,corn flakes, fruits like: apple, banana, pear, dry fruits, & biscuits.

All of the above have been checked by an allopathic pediatrician. I am just asking for a parallel homeopathic solution.

Homeopathic Solution & Dosage

Detailed Answer:
Dear

Thanks for reverting back.

1. Since evaluation/examination is done by Pediatrician, he must have duly looked upon every possibility.

2. Medicine which I often prescribe/tell to parents is:
. three 6C pills: 4 times daily or give three 30C pills at 12 hours apart and reduce or stop the medicine if fever improves.

PS. Please note that Homeopathic medicine are legally recognized as OTC's [ over the counter] drugs and do not require a doctor prescription due to documented/ recognized safety but still consult a local Homeopath for dosage and safety of medicine.

3. General guidelines have been provided earlier.

6C and 30C are the full name of the homepathic medicines? No long text to it?

Clarification

Detailed Answer:
Dear

Thanks for reverting back.

1. In homeopathy, more the dilution, more is the power, so 30C is more powerful than 6C.

2. I will usually recommend to ask you Local Homeopath before giving medicine,

. Ferrum phosphoricum 6X [good, specific remedy for moderate fever]
. Pulsatilla pratensis 12C or 30C

PS. give five drops or one pill every 2-4 hours, till you notice improvement, or your doctor might choose a different remedy, if there is no improvement.
