Question: I have arthritis in L3 down on both sides, has the steroid shots to the spine, and rizotomyx2, I recently was having increased pain to left side, and I am on Robaxin 750mg 3x a day. He did a depo Medrol shot to my left side, and the pain is decreased, but still fill the pressure build up and when cleaning still have to take numerous breaks and with the slight relief I feel the right sided pressure now. What would be the best next step.

Brief Answer:
The main role is daily lifestyle changes and physiotherapy to avoid further endoscopic interventions .

Detailed Answer:
Hi i am Dr Ahmed Aly
Thanks for using HealthcareMagic,
I had gone through your question and understand your concerns ..

For my patients after medical treatment, we continue steroid injections for 4 months , along with Robaxin , painkiller like Advil or Tramadol when needed , hot massages with topical gels , physiotherapy and even yoga and meditation therapy are quite helpful.

In addition, spinal straightening or traction exercises will be effective for your case with some relaxation and avoidance of heavyweight lifting , vigorous movements and bad sitting and sleeping postures .

After steroid and medical treatments fail, i would suggest follow-up MRI and X rays of the spine and the release of the nervous compression by minor endoscopic interventions by your neurologist or even spinal surgeries like micro dessictomy etc. needed to free your neurovascular bundle compression .

Since you've already undergone rhizotomyx2 both sides, there's a need to be evaluated by your neurosurgeon to further assess the operative areas, hope you won't need any kind of further surgical interventions (nerve-blocks can be considered in case other interventions failed to control pain).

Hope the above information helps you,
Any further clarifications. please feel free to ask.

Regards
