Suggest Treatment For Anxiety

Question: I have an anxiety disorder and its been bad lately. I didn't eat much over the weekend just spoonfuls here and there...I'm drinking lots though. Could I still get really physically ill soon? I had blood work done last week...it was all good. I am 5'4 and weigh 107 pounds. I also have no underlying medical conditions apart from low iron
Oh and was going to go to hospital last night to receive help to get medicated again (I've got a phobia)...but was afraid they would see me not eating much and force me to be involuntary (which is another huge fear of mine)...is that quite possible?

Brief Answer:
Anxiety disorder need to be treated

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query.
I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
The condition that you are having is basically phobia. This is a disorder of anxiety and occurs cause of imbalance of certain neurotransmitters in the brain. especially serotonin, nor adrenaline, and dopamine to some extent. Medicines are the best options to take care of these symptoms. Paroxetine is the the most popular medicine and my drug of choice. I generally prescribe my patients 12.5 mg per day at night which takes care of anxiety symptoms. Also certain medicines like propranolol and clonazepam can be give as required when there is a panic episode or expected situation where panic attack can appear.
Also systematic desensitization can help in reducing the symptoms of phobia. This may be tried by a clinical psychologist. If your appetite is too low, then they may consider getting your admitted. But if your weight is 107 pounds at 5 4', then mostly they may not admit you and instead go ahead with an out patient treatment.
Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.

But you still didn't let me know if not eating well for a few days could be very harmful..or if I did go to hospital if they would force me to be involuntary because of not eating well.

Brief Answer:
Answers as asked

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Not eating well for a few days can be bad as it may lead to nutritional deficiencies and also poor immunity.
Forceful admission is done when not eating has led to deterioration of your health to such an extent that it may be fatal for you. IN your case it is not so and hence there would not be any forceful admission.
