Posted on Tue, 30 Sep 2014
Question: Hi I have a 13 months old son. He is suffering from cold. He was sleeping when I poured sinarest vapor capsule drops on his pillow. By mistake a few drops went into his eyes. He cried very badly rubbing his eyes. And kept on crying hard for 10 minutes. I sprinkled water immediately in his eyes. He became calm after some time and slept again. Not sure how much content went into his eyes as my room was dark. Are these capsules injurious to eyes? Can they impact vision? How can I check whether everything is okay with hours vision?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. The Sinarest Vapocaps will only cause irritation of the eyes.

2. Rinsing or washing the eyes thoroughly with cold water is the only treatment necessary.

3. There is no further damage expected if the drops have been washed off or diluted by tears.

4. if he is sleeping comfortably, check his eyes for signs of irritation (redness, itching, excessive blinking, irritability crying). If symptoms persist, get an eye specialist to examine the eyes.

I hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be available to answer them.

Regards.

His right eye is still red. Watery. He gets up plays then rubs his eyes and gets irritated and cranky. He is still recovering from cough cold and congestion. Has running nose too. Is this some kind of eye infection?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for writing back.

1. The possible causes for the red, watering eye are:
a. Irritation from the Sinarest Vapocap drops which entered the eye.
b. Allergic eye symptoms from the cold.

2. An eye infection is less likely. A direct examination by an eye specialist will be necessary if this does not subside in a day or two.

I hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
