Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Pain And Nausea

default
Posted on Thu, 8 Dec 2016
Question: Symptoms:
Abdominal pain
Feeling bloated right after eating
Dizzyness
Nausea after eating
Symptoms have lasted 2 months
Weight loss (15 pounds in 4 weeks)
**normal bowel movement
**no vomiting
**no fever

Previous conditions:
Hiatal Hernia; GERD; appendicitis

Analysis performed this week:(see attached)
Upper endoscopy- everything nominal (no new upper GI complications; no gastritis)
Cbc - elevated wbc count
CMP - elevated billirubin
Ultrasound: organ sizes normal

Current therapy regime is not being effective and discomfort/pain is the same.
150mg ratinide (evening)
20mg prilosec (mornings)

What would you think would be the problem? Could it be related to the liver and not stomach? What's your recommendation.

Brief Answer:
Hi reports looks like a sensitive stomach

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to HCM
Thank you for your query
I understand your concern
Well looks like you have an acidity problem and a sensitive stomach
Went through your reports they fairly look normal even increased wbc count and bilirubin looks OK not much to worry about
Worthwhile getting stool examination for occult blood on three occasions and thyroid function tests too.
In addition to taking medication as adviced need to try lifestyle modification like eating on time
Regular walk and exercise
Take adequate sleep for 7 to 8hours a day
Avoid sleeping two hours after meals
Avoid excess oily and spicy food
Try relaxing methods like yoga and meditation if possible
All this will help you in long run
Sometimes if symptoms are severe then can try meditation to reduce the sensitivity of stomach after consulting your gastroenterology specialist
This problem looks unrelated to liver
Hope this answers your questions
Wish you a speedy recovery
Happy to help

Brief Answer:
Unlikely

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Unlikely to be a pancreatic problem as u have no pain or oil in stools.
If u have any of these worthwhile getting an CT scan of the abdomen done once after consulting your physician.
Best wishes

I have dull abdominal pain, mainly in the upper and mid abdomen; but I do not have any pain on bowel movements. I have no diarreah.

Also, I feel very full and bloated, especially after I start eating a meal or sometimes drinking water. I will visit my physician to order a CT, but a sonogram 8 months ago indicated my abdominal organs were nominal.
