Question: Sharp shooting type of pain from vaginal area to lower abdomen, which last for few seconds.this happens Occassionally .why is this so??

Brief Answer: You should be evaluated for your problem. Detailed Answer: Hi, Thank for writing to us. There are three possibilities of your problem - 1) Ovarian cyst (twisted) to rule out this problem get ultrasonography and CT scan. 2) PID it can be rule out by pelvic examination and treated by antibiotic. 3) Appendicites can be rule out by examination and ultrasonography and it can be treated by antibiotic.
