Brief Answer:
Such symptoms could occur in depression also

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

The symptoms like not able to forget past, past traumatic events, repeated talks about same things, anger over these things and poor sleep could occur due to Post traumatic stress disorder. But in this disorder severe anxiety, restlessness along with reliving trauma, nightmares are also seen. The history you have mentioned couldn't classify into Post traumatic stress disorder. But sometimes due to significant trauma in past individuals learn to remain helpless, which is also an aggravation of depressive symptoms. Also called as learned helplessness, individuals tend not to forget past events and out of that depression they develop anger outbursts.

Best therapy to reduce such symptoms is Cognitive therapy. In cognitive therapy cognitive distortions and abnormal thought processes are revealed and then individual and therapist act together to correct these distortions. Consultation of a psychologist results in improvement of these distortions.
