Question: Context: I am 23yo, 6ft, 170lbs. My sister has PCOS. I have a long and somewhat irregular menstrual cycle that averages at around 50 days, I am not sexually active or on any kind of birth control. No history of diabetes on either side of my family. I have been very tired these past few days and particularly craving sweets. It has been 59 days since the start of my last period.

About a week ago I experienced slight bloating and a feeling of abdominal pressure I associate with the days leading up to my period. I noticed ants crawling on a pair of used panties in my laundry that had moderate discharge on it, and again today on a pair that had minimal discharge.

Brief Answer:
Need a proper examination

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear and thanks for your query.

I understand your concern ,because PCOS have a genetic relation and you have an irregular cycle ,but to determine even you as your sister have PCOS you should have a proper gynecologic exam ,abdominal ultarsound ,hormonal balances in your third day of your periods(especially free testosterone) ,Insulinemia and fasting glicemia.

After you will do these exams we can determine if you have or not PCOS and than you can take a proper treatment.

While you experienced a bloating feeling and abdominal pressure can be due hormonal imbalances .

Until you will do all examinations I have mentioned above please
be active(exercise daily for about 30 min)
have e vegetable and fruits rich diet
exclude from your diet pasta, fried foods and sugar

If you have further question I will be here to help you.

Regards
