Question: Deat doctor
I have a herniated disc at my L5-S1 and i have to do surgery in order to cut of the herniated part. What is the best method ( e.g. Endoscopic Discectomy... ) for this surgery ? I mean the name of the surgery ? How long it takes to recover for the surgery? And just to let you know, i don't have any problem regarding money.
So please tell me the best method ?

Brief Answer:
You may share the suffering, if you like

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for posting
I have gone through your query and understand your concern. The best way to remove a single level slip disc causing symptoms at your age is endoscopic removal of disc prolapse. As recovery is fast without much post operative pain and you may lead a normal life with in a span of few days that is a week to 10 days time.
Hope this helps.I shall be glad to answer any further query.
Take care

Thanks for your answer. And how will be the anesthesia? Will it be partial or complete?

Brief Answer:
Sedation, short GA and local anaesthesia suffices

Detailed Answer:
Hello
You are welcome
These minimally invasive procedure are performed under sedation, short GA (general anaesthesia) and local anaesthesia or you may call it partial anaesthesia. The anesthetic will allow the patient to be comfortable during the procedure but will leave enough feeling in the nerves so the patient can actually tell when the nerve is being stimulated.
Hope this helps.
