Brief Answer: Pituitary and Thyroid Detailed Answer: I see your TSH is 100. That is quite alarmingly high. It needs to be promptly treated with a thyroid medication called levothyroxine. The fact that the TSH is 100 is definite evidence that the thyroid-governing component of the pituitary is functioning fine. To answer your question specifically, yes there are tests to determine if your pituitary is malfunctioning. In your particular instance, in addition to the TSH of 100, if you want further corroborative evidence to check whether or not your pituitary is working fine, then you can undergo a blood test for FSH and LH. These hormones are made by the pituitary and are elevated in women after menopause. If they are not high then it is considered a sign of pituitary problems. I hope you see an Endocrinologist soon for regulating your thyroid.
