Posted on Tue, 17 Nov 2015
Question: Hi! I have Fibromyalgia and had oral surgery to cut out an eye tooth 3 weeks ago.
Ever since then my lower teeth and gums and jaw hurt. Throbbing pain. Unbelievable pain. Also a loose tooth. Can this be the Fibro ?

Brief Answer:
Needs immediate Dental consult for suspicion of pus collection

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

Thanks for the query.

Do you have fever?

Have you shown it to a Dentist ?

It is possible that there could be infection or abscess formation in the gums and jaw region. Take pain killers, apply ice. Avoid chewing food on the involved side. Keep well hydrated.

You must consult your Dentist immediately to avoid possible spread of infection in your blood stream.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

Regards,

Dr. Aashish Raghu

I am on antibiotics but it shows no infection. My question is, can it be the Fibromyalgia? Are these symptoms something Fibro can cause?
