Brief Answer:
Need opg xray reports.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Zdenna ,

Thanks for consulting Healthcare magic .
This is Dr. Priyanka tiwari answering your query .

I have read your query and understand your concern . As far as hard swelling in maxillary posterior region is concerned this can be due to multiple reasons . For swelling there is a possibility of Periodontal infection , dental infection or Bony lesion . Since you have mentioned lesion is too far to see with eyes so I need OPG xray to give you proper diagnosis and treatment plan . If you have opg xray kindly upload in report section . If you dont have xray I will suggest you to consult Oral surgeon for investigation (opg xray) .
Inmeantime do warm saline gargle 2 to 3 times a day . For swelling and pain you can take medicine like Amoxicillin with metronidazole and Ibugesic plus by consulting with local doctor .

Awating for Opg xray to comment further .

Hope this will help you .

Brief Answer:
swelling might be due to inflammation of pulp.

Detailed Answer:
Hello xxxxxx,

Welcome again .

I have read your query and gone through opg xray you have uploaded . As far as I have observed you have restored tooth in upper arch . Swelling might be due to inflammation of pulp of restored tooth . Before coming to diagnosis I would like to ask few questions for cause of swelling to guide you better :
-Do you have pain in region of swelling ?.
-Do you have pain on eating , during night or on lying down ?
- Is there any senstivity in gums or tooth ?.
- Have you ever noticed any bleeding or discharge from gums ?.

Awating for your reply .

Regards ,
Dr. Priyanka tiwari

Thans for reply doc, I draw a schematic pic, for better idea, where bump is...

Do you think that this bump can be from 17 or 16 tooth, if the bump is soo bony hard and is much higher than tooth?

Restored tooth - you mean repair tooth with missing amalgam? (17)?

To your questions:

Its light pain in regio 14, 15, 16, 17

Volatile pain, not bound to food, drink or daytime

Bleeding from gums yes, but no from this region

Detailed Answer:
Hello xxxxx,

Welcome,

I have gone through your answers and schematic pic that you have send . As far as I have observed your schematic pic and opg xray swelling and mild pain can be due to Restored (Amalgam filled tooth) 15 , 16 . Might be due to inflamation in pulp of tooth causing mild pain and swelling . For this there is nothing to be worried so much but I will suggest you to consult good oral surgeon for clinical examination of swelling and investigation Intra oral periapical xray or Occlusal radiograph . If needed you can also go for investigation Biopsy of swelling to confirm the diagnosis . If your investigation reveals swelling is due to inflamation of pulp then treatment can be done is Root canal treatment of tooth . For bleeding gums go for oral prophylaxis (scaling and root planing) .

Hope I have answered your query .
If you have further query I will be happy to help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello xxxxx ,

I have read your query . See xxxxxx in OPG there is gross examination of maxilla and mandible. In Opg we can find out large pathologies like Cysts and tumours of jaw . Since in your opg xray as far as I have observed there is no as such pathologies are seen . So now I will suggest you to consult good oral surgeon for clinical examination of swelling and Intraoral periapical radiograph of tooth 15 , 16 , 17 or occlusal radiograph (occlusal view ) of maxilla to evaluate the cause and confirm the diagnosis .

There is nothing to be worried so much . Consult oral surgeon for examination , radiograph and you can get back to me again for consultation I will be happy to help you .

Hope I have answered your query.
If you have further query I wil be happy to help.
