Brief Answer:
?? lipoma or lymph node enlargement in my opinion

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. A soft lump in the location described by you in my opinion is either a growth called a lipoma or a possible enlargement of your lymph nodes (namely supraclavicular lymph nodes).

The lipoma is a harmless growth that can easily be removed if at all it causes you trouble. You will although have to visit a doctor for a tissue biopsy to confirm this diagnosis or rule it out.

The lymph nodes in the region can get enlarged by infections especially and so if at all you have symptoms of an infection or a subsiding infection then do not worry at all.

I hope you find my response both helpful and informative ma'am. Please do not hesitate to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help you.

Best wishes.

Thank you,I will follow up with my doctor. She has a ultra sound scheduled. Do you think that is a good idea? And should I get tested for my lymph nodes,,Im not aware of any infections.

Brief Answer:
Yes ma'am, an ultrasound will provide some clarity

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again ma'am.

An ultrasound will help in providing us with clarity on whether it is a cyst or some other fluid-filled cavity or even just swollen lymph nodes. I would thus encourage an ultrasound.

As you do not have any current infections, we will have to also order a comprehensive blood count along with the ultrasound and other necessary blood investigations to look for abnormalities ma'am.

I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write to me anytime and for anything, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.
