Question: Hi, I have a chipped bottom molar. I have had no issues until two days ago. I have been taking advil and doing all the home remedies such as garlic, H202, ect. The pain is still there and now my ear and temple hurts. I have a dentist appt a week from now, buy wondering if I should see a doc tomorrow. I have no insurance so I would rather wait, but will go if necessary. Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Add Tylenol to advil!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I am so sorry to hear about this tooth pain. I understand your plight and the difficulties not having insurance. If it is all about pain, then we can wait. However, if the pain becomes severe or very serious, we must go in.

I will recommend that add tylenol for better control. If this fails, there is no better way than going in to see a doctor. Also, if you have any fever, there is need to see a doctor as well. My immediate thinking is that you probably have an infected tooth that needs dental work. This will be figured out when you see the dentist.

In all, is pain is unbearable and you have a fever, see the doctor as soon as possible. However, If tylenol adds some more relief, patiently wait until you see your dentist to keep financial expenditures low.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

thank you, I am pretty good good with pain, so really my concern was when my ear and my temple started to throb. If that is a normal side effect than I will wait, I just wanted to make sure with someone other than my husband :)
