Brief answer....yes the dose is all right.
Detailed answer....
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
Your doctor has advised you correctly and hence you must abide by his instruction.
MOXIKIND CV 375 mg has 250 mg amoxicillin and 125 mg CLAUVINIC acid.
Dose is decided by the amount of amoxicillin.
Amoxicillin is normally prescribed in the dose of 25-50 mg per kg day.
Since your child is 16 kg,he would need amoxicillin in the dose ranging from 400 mg to 800 mg.
Since the doctor is thinking the infection to be moderate to high,he has prescribed you amoxicillin in higher range ( 750 mg in a day )
So by giving 3 tablets of MOXIKIND CV,he is giving amoxicillin in the dose of 750 mg in 24 hours, which is perfectly normal.
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Bet of luck
Thanks
