Question: Hello. I have been having chest pain on the right side, headaches, sweating, fluttering of heart, neck , back and side pain, heartburn, gas and belching. I am a 49 year old white female who occasionally smokes and has IBS with alternating constipation and diarrhea. I am only about 20 pounds overweight. Went to ER three days ago. bloodwork and urine were good. For me my blood pressure was a little high and temp was 99.3. The Xray tech asked me if I had pain on my left side because there was a gas bubble. At the time I did not. The doc said the only thing he saw was a significant amount of stool. What do you think? I know it could be many things. xxxxxx

Brief Answer:
IBS flare

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. chest pain, gastric discomforts, history of IBS, heartburn, conventional symptoms etc with labs and work up normal etc are all pointing towards an IBS flare and nothing else.

All you need to do is continue diet and lifestyle modifications and lose weight. Eat small frequent meals. Avoid fatty , dairy and processed foods. Avoid cola drinks, beverages, alcohol, spicy foods etc. Prefer fiber rich foods and drink plenty of fluids minimum of 2.2 litres of fluids. Eat pepper mint and yogurt. Former is best antispasmodic and later is best probiotic .

Nutshell, it is merely a flare of IBS and nothing else. I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.
