Suggest Remedies To Induce Early Menstruation
Question: Hello Doc,
I am XXXX 33 year old and have 2 kids of 4.3 yr and 5 month old.
I was suppose to get my periods by 18th of Feb 2016 and did not get it till today.
I could not test for pregnancy too.
I have undergone C section for sec baby on Sep 5th 2015.
What medicines can be taken to get my periods if in case I am positive for pregnancy.

Hello, Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:
1) At first, you should undergo one home pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy as you have missed your regular period. Treatment is based on test result.
2) If you have gotten NEGATIVE test result, then I can suggest Norethisterone pill for 5 days to bring down your period. For that, you should await 5-7 days after cessation of pills.
3) On POSITIVE test result, Medical termination of pregnancy is required with abortion pill if you don't want to continue current pregnancy. It should be done under supervision of your local doctor or GYNECOLOGIST to reduce possible risk and complications in emergency.
Medical abortion can be done successfully up to 9 weeks (63 days) in 95% cases. Ideally, 1 Mifepristone tab is taken in the morning followed 24-48 hrs later by four Misoprostol tabs (2 orally and 2 vaginally).
Immediately after taking those pills, you will get vaginal bleeding and strong abdominal cramp till fleshy mass or clots are expelled out.
Post abortion, one ultrasound scan is mandatory and D & C may be required in case of failed medical abortion.
