Posted on Wed, 29 Jun 2016
Question: It's about my emotional /psychological/psychiatic health. I'm use to having physical pain since after the accident. Lately, I experience emotional breakdown. I'm unable to initiate things, follow up things, respond to matters, even do the daily assignments. Very reluctant, even to do smallest things. I avoid contacting my families and friends. I'm not motivated, am unable to, hasitate, lacking mental stength and courage. Even though I know and see things to do, but, yet I'm unable to do them. I just let them be and keep reminding mysef of them.

I think you can go for provigil

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using healthcaremagic.

I read you query and understand your concerns.

Post traumatic cognitive difficulties with lack of motivation and deficiency of executive functions made me to believe that you can helped with medication as they are the cheaper alternative to rehabilitation with proven track record in such situations.

In your case I think either modafinil 100 mg or armodafinil 50 mg can be tried to improve the motivation and cognitive functions. I must made it clear that medication tends to help as long as it is continued but rehabilitation helps you through out your life.

Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
If not, you may close the discussion and if possible you may rate the answer for my future patients.
