Brief Answer:
As discussed in details below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.
I have read the history and understood the concerns.
Please give some additional information for me to assist you better.
- What was the procedure done?
- When was the procedure done? Was it 3 days ago?
- Whether the stitches were applied?

Since the penile skin wound heals up very fast in a normal course, your Doctor must have advised you what to do and how to do it.

To answer your queries:
- Water usually do not harm as the penile wounds heal very fast and the water/shower is advised to make the dressing wet so that it can be easily removed with tolerable discomfort if at all.
- Wrap up: may not be necessary if the cutaneous bridge has been healed and there is no separation of the edges or if there is no infection as evidenced by redness, pain, pus formation.
- Stinging and irritation with water indicates that the wound is still open or got opened up,
> I do advise to use solution Povidone iodine to soak, clean as it hastens both and makes the area sterile thus avoiding secondary infection.
It takes about 5 to 7 days in normal circumstances for the wound to heal properly so that you can do all the activities normally without any pain or sensation. The burning and stinging pain persists till the skin edges heal well.

I hope all your queries are answered with explanation, please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
Please give the feedback for the queries I have asked for and you may please provide clear and focused photos if you can as it helps for on-the-spot diagnosis and treatment.

The circumcision was done at Surgical centre by Urologist Dr ave.. It was done on Friday Sept 2. The stitches were applied and doctor advised me that it will dissolve by itself.Everything appears red and have difficulty in walking. Do not see any puss or does not pain in resting position. Do you recommend putting on a gauze pr Povidone gauze over the entire about 1 to 2 inches area and then cover up with a bandage..
Can I use the boxing underwear or the friction will do mere damage ?

Brief Answer:
As explained below.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your elucidate feedback.
My thoughts:
Yes, the stitches used are usually dissolvable as removal is difficult at this part.
Since you have written: everything appears red, difficulty in walking there is an inflammation and it would be prudent to take a course of an antibiotic and an anti-inflammatory with painkiller property.
You may please apply Solution Povidone Iodine to the whole are to make it sterile and put on the few layers of gauze or bandage loosely wrapped around every 6 to 8 hours and particularly before changing it to make it wet and easily removable without any pain.
Once the healing occurs the pain will be not be there.
Do not use boxing underwear, use very loose underwear or wrap-around cloth.
If at all there is a morning erection that causes stretching and pain, request your Doctor to give medication to avoid it.

I hope this answer helps you, please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
