Question: yes, sir. I have just lost my husband of 13 years, a child and my grandmother. I have 4 children with no career to fall back on. I suffer from bipolar depression and anxiety. since this has come about I am having panic attacks, again...I don't have insurance and the XXXXXXX clinic wont help with my anxiety. please help!!!

I'm sorry for your losses, and that you are not feeling well. Let me give you my thoughts.

Bipolar depression is best treated with a mood stabilizer such as lithium or valproate, or with an atypical neuroleptic such as quetiapine. Anxiety is best treated with an antidepressant such as escitalopram, and with cognitive behavioral therapy. All of these treatments require an in-person evaluation by a doctor, and a prescription. For you, I would recommend escitalopram plus quetiapine.

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is as effective as an antidepressant for treatment of anxiety. I do offer text-based CBT via my private link on this site if you are interested:
