Hi,

Welcome to HCM....

I read history. You have reddish lesion on prepuce which is painful. And there you have burning. Still, I wish to know more to come to some conclusion. Kindly answer...

- from how many days you have such problem?
- is it for the first time? Or you had such problem in past? How many times?
- do you have itching besides pain?
- what part of the penis involved?..prepuce,glans,shaft..
- do you have any other disease..like diabetes?
- family history of any disease?
- past history of any disease, medicine?
- are you married?
- if so, does your wife suffers from leucorrhoea or itching in genital areas?
- any history of sexual contact with other women?
- history of any other skin disease?

Kindly answer and do not forget to post the photos of affected parts.

Awaiting you answers and photos...

Thanks..

The part involved is the prepuce. I got this problem today and I don't have such a history of contacts with women but once which was fully protected and then also I got pinched by nails on the skin that joins glans and prepuce. I don't have diabetes or a family history of it. Unmarried.
I am affected by the change in season and get allergic rhino bronchitis.

Brief Answer:
Candidal balanoposthitis most probably

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HCM..

After reading answers and seeing the photos, I could conclude that most probably you may be having candidal balanoposthitis. It is a fungal infection caused by Candida albicans. There may be secondary bacterial infection.

I would suggest...

- oral anti fungal like itroconazole 100 mg twice a day for two weeks
- antihistaminics like desloratidine 5 mg twice a day
- oral antibiotic..short course like cephalexin 250 mg thrice a day for week
- apply anti fungal cream like sertaconazole cream
- Sitz bath in water mixed with few drops of dettol .. avoid soap on affected parts
- improve hygiene..keep the area dry
- improve immunity.. eat nutritious food

I hope above tips would help you in managing your problem... take treatment under supervision of dermatologist.

I hope you got my answer... still, any query, you are welcome.

Thanks..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..

Candidal balanoposthitis many time starts with severe itching and followed by burning and pain. The skin becomes erythematous. There may be erosions later on.

Kindly follow the suggested tips, but you consult the dermatologist to have perfect diagnosis....ok

Thanks.
