Suggest Medication For Vaginal Itching

default
Posted on Thu, 12 Nov 2015
Question: this a follow up to the vaginal itching question. What do u think the likelihood is that it's an std as opposed to a yeast infection? I don't feel an std that I have which I may have which she may caught because I don't feel anything on me and haven't really done sexual things to cause something to me or her. But u never know and I'm hoping it's just a yeast infection. She is a virgin before me BTW.
I am hoping a OTC med will help because she does not have medical here in Canada XXXXXXX where we live. She hasn't even applied for it yet.
thanks in advance.

Brief Answer:
Most likely a yeast infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Thanks for the information.
With your information it is most likely due to fungal ( yeast) infection.
But as we discuss before if you give me answers of my questions than it will help me to give you a better opinion.
Yes,there are over the counter medication available for her symptoms.
She should take candid-v6( clotrimazole) vaginal tablet once daily in night for 6-7 days.
She can apply candid- b( clotrimazoleand betamethasone) ointment for itching.
She should take antifungal tablet( fluconazole150 mg) once in a week.
She can use V- wash for cleaning.
She should maintain vaginal hygiene, keep the area dry and clean, use loose fitting cotton undergarments, drink a lot of water, consume a healthy and nutritious diet.
If her symptoms persist and she developed enlarge lymph nodes and foul smelling discharge than she needs evaluation.
Hope found useful, feel free to discuss more information.
Good luck.
