Question: I recently had a knee replacement. I need to have my teeth cleaned. I have a penicillin allergy and need to take an appropriate antibiotic. My doctor says I should take what my dentist recommends and my dentist says my doctor should make the recommendation. What should I take?

Before getting the teeth cleaned you can either take fluroquinolone like ciproflox with metronidazole or third generation cephalosporin like Cefixine with metronidazole.
